Words matter. They hold power, and they get imprinted into our consciousness, shaping our life experience.

The language used, in many spiritual communities, often leads to more inner fragmentation then to integration and unity. And a common misunderstanding is about the nature of darkness, or Void.

I encourage you to not only process intellectually the perspective that I share here, but to sit with it, to meditate on it and feel into it, in order to realize for yourself what is true. Accepting someone's else ideas as truth without investigating them only creates belief systems. And we need less of those.

Your Elemental Nature

From a holistic perspective, we are composed of elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Metal, Wood, Air are commonly mentioned, but Light and Void are also elemental in nature. The macrocosm lives inside of us. And if you look outside, you do see light, and you also see darkness. They balance each other in nature. And they also balance each other in our own nature, inside of ourselves.

If you meditate on the nature of Void itself, you will realize that your experience is one of clarity and calm. Darkness is peaceful and unemotional. It reveal things as they are.

It is thanks to the Void that negativity/corruption is being revealed. Darkness is NOT negativity. Darkness is an element that reveals negativity inside and outside of us.

Why is it essential to make that difference?

Because is you confuse Void for negativity, then you are attacking and degrading a part of your own psyche. You cannot heal, nor come into integration, as long as you reject aspects of yourself.

Light and Void, in balance

Some confused individuals try to 'get rid' of darkness, and be 'all light', which is extremely damaging and dangerous for the consciousness. Ideas of battle between Light and Void should be abandoned, because by accepting such concept, you literally accept that elements within yourself would go against one another, which is contrary to the nature of things. Nature is harmonious. Again, if you observe nature outside of yourself, you will realize that Void and Light only create balance, and not division. Corruption creates division. And Void reveals corruption. These distinctions are essential to understand your own nature, and the nature of reality.

Others believe that 'shadow work' means simply acknowledging the negativity/corruption in their energy system. Awareness is an important first step, but it isn't enough. If you are aware that your energy is muddied, but aren't take steps to cleanse it, how can the situation improve?

Void elementals are powerful in revealing what is NOT in alignment with you. So that you can cleanse yourself, and cleanse your life from it.

There are many spiritual practices that will support energy cleansing: meditation, Reiki, Yoga, internal martial arts (Tai Chi, Ba Gua, etc.) to name a few. Take your time, when choosing a teacher/healer. If something feels off, its most likely because something IS off.

I encourage you to sit in silence and darkness, and to invite the Void into yourself.

The Void helps you to reveal negativity inside yourself. Void is not negativity itself. It gifts you with these revelations to empower you with choices: do you want to leave the negativity in your energetic system, or do you want to cleanse it so that you can truly experience the deep sense of calm and peacefulness of who you are at the core?

The choices are yours, always.

The expression 'dark night of the Soul' has a negative connotation because it implies that some aspects of you are wrong, bad or evil. Yes, it is true that we become awareness of wrongs and evil when sitting quietly in the dark. But it is PRECISELY the benevolence of the Void that reveals to our awareness what is affecting our energy, oftentimes against our will and conscious awareness. and it is being revealed to us so that we can remove these negative influences, knowing that they are not in alignment with who we are.
